You will find success stats within Head 2 Head
comparison pages and football team pages. The success blocks are split into 3
parts, outcome ratio, results from last 5 and success.
These statistics are useful when betting on wins and draws, and any other bets
that take these outcomes into account.
Bet365 often
provide competitive win-draw-win odds and have a fairly comprehensive set of in play markets
available.
The outcome ratio displays outcomes as a percentage of games played,
for example a team that has won 3 out of 4 games will have a win rate of 75%.
The ratios are shown based on all games played, then further split by home and
away games, which gives a good indication of how a team performs away from home
and how much advantage the home field provides. In the
2008/2009 Premier league
season
Manchester United had a home win rate of 84.2%.
Results from last 5 gives a count of results from the last 5 soccer
games, the last 5 home games and the last 5 away games, it provides a good
indicator of the teams recent form.
Success is a calculation, it lets a win be equal to 1 point, a draw be
equal to ½ point and a loss be worth 0 points. The points gained from the last
X games are then added up and divided by that number of games, for
example 4 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses from the past 8 games would give a success
of (4+(2*0.5))/8 = 62.5%. The calculation is also shown for home and away games.
If the team has played less than 8 games in the season then the points are
divided by the number of games played.
Overall, the success statistics can provide a useful guide to how a team has performed over the season,
when looking at head to head comparisons it can be very useful to see how two opposing teams have
performed home and away respectively.
